“I’m Bennie Wylie, and I’m from Mexia, Texas.”
Those were the
Mexia native’s first words upon being introduced at the press conference announcing his
position as the Texas Longhorns Strength and Conditioning
Coach last week at the campus in Austin.
Bennie let it be known he was happy to be back in the Lone Star State, moving to Austin from Knoxville where he was in charge of strength and conditioning for the University of Tennessee Volunteers.
He is the son of Velvia Wylie, who still resides in Mexia, and the late Bennie Wylie.
