. . . and I don't want to know. Supposedly this took place at a slumber party in 1954 after the party animals were chased out of Groesbeck. Girls Gone Wild!
I knew those slumber parties were wild. I just didn't know they were this wild.

Grand Lodge of Texas honored Wayne Carroll with a certificate denoting his 60 years of service to Masonry. The presentation was made at Springfield Lodge 74 A.F.&A.M. in Mexia, presented Monday night by District Deputy Grand Master Charles Day (far right). Jerry Miller of the Lodge looks on. The 60-year pin was positioned on Carroll's coat by his daughter, Teresa Hartnett of Grand Prairie, in for the special ceremony.
Genie Schuh sent me this link to a site devoted to the '50s. Have a look.
If I'm remembering correctly (always doubtful), this float was a rocketship. We stuffed napkins for hour at McKenzie Motor Company. I believe it won a prize, however.
That's Homecoming Duchess Pat Smith Wood sitting atop the rocketship. Click the pic for a nice enlargement.
My brother wrote this for the MHS Museum newsletter. Jon will be honored in memorium at homecoming this year. Click it twice for a readable enlargement.
This photo of Noan New, Joe Edd New, and Joe Owens is dated October 1958. I don't know where it was taken or who took it. Looks as if Joe Edd is holding a portable radio, though.
