Joe Edd and Don

I don't know the occasion, probably an assembly program. Love the matching shorts!

Mexia City Hall -- 1940s

On the Capitol Grounds

Edmund Vickers has his back to the camera. Don Foley (right) is looking back, and on the left is (maybe) Larry Doerre looking back.

At the Capitol

Our senior trip? I'm sure that's Edmund Vickers with his arm akimbo. Who are the other two? I think that's Don Foley holding a camera in his hands, and maybe Jerry Welch or Larry Doerre to his left.

Margaret Ann Confesses

I apologize for the poor quality of the video. The back-lighting was too strong. But at least you can hear what Margaret Ann is saying.

Confederate Vets Letterhead

Since some of us spent a little time at the Confederate Reunion Grounds last Saturday, I thought this might be of interest. As you can see on the letterhead, this camp was located in Mexia.

Farren House

This house is on East Hopkins, across the alley from the house where I used to live on Hunt Street. It was owned by Raleigh Farren, who opened the Root Beer Stand. I thought it was an interesting house when I was a kid, but it's been in sad shape lately. Looks like someone might be restoring it now.

John & David

Those are the names on the back of the picture. Looks like John Barham, for sure. Is that David Winningham?
