Daddy (Clem Woods) used to be the rep for Paymaster Feeds. He also bought his hog feed from your Dad. He also kept his old "52 5-Ton Chevy Auger truck there. (A little covered shed on the west side of the alley. I remember the arrowhead collection in the glass cases in the corner. When my brother and I would go with Daddy, Mr. Crider would let us go play army or fort on all the sacks of feed in the back. I was in town a few years back for a funeral and went in, just to look around. They say aroma triggers the most nostalgia, and that is so true..... 5o+ years back in time in one instant. Thank You, Bill Jeff Woods
I remember that shed well. There's nothing like the smell of a feed store to transport me back to the 1950s. I have some of those arrowheads now. My brother and sister have the rest.
