Hello Bill - Alphonso Steele was my 5-great grandfather on my father's side. I saw your reference to him and thought I would leave a note. I graduated from Groesbeck HS in 1972, we lived in the Odds community back then. Just thought I would say hi!

Regards,
Jim Criswell

Hello Wade Jones. My name is David Thompson. Alphonso Steele is my wifes 5th-great grandfather from her mothers side which is the Carthel side of the family. We have a son who is 5. I have recently become interested in him knowing more about his Texas heritage. I saw that you were attending Texas Tech and wanted to say hi, especially since we live here in Lubbock! I am not sure if the family has any info to share with you, but I will ask and let you know if they can help! Regards, David Thompson
